Ricky Lee is a seasoned marketing and communications consultant with over 20 years of dedicated experience in elevating arts and culture organizations. Known for crafting strategic PR campaigns, securing high-profile media placements, and managing impactful events, Ricky has a proven track record of enhancing visibility and engagement across the arts sector.
He has held key leadership roles including Director of Communications at Petzel Gallery and Press and Communications Officer at Perrotin, where he developed innovative media strategies and built strong relationships with media outlets and stakeholders. As a founding partner of The Committee, a cultural programming and curatorial agency, and founder of Press Secretariat, a boutique communications firm, Ricky has collaborated with artists, galleries, and cultural institutions to produce dynamic exhibitions, branding initiatives, and digital marketing campaigns.
Ricky’s expertise spans editorial, media relations, social media management, digital marketing, and event production—skills he leverages to help arts organizations tell compelling stories and connect authentically with audiences. With a background rooted in arts, fashion, and publishing (he was a founding editor of Quincy Jones’ Vibe magazine and has written for Interview, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, and Vogue, among other publications), Ricky brings a creative yet strategic approach to every project, making him a trusted partner in the arts and culture community.
